NGC6960 in Cygnus
August 19, 2025

A small chunk of Pickering's Triangle, part of the huge veil nebula complex comprising eastern and western veil. This huge supernova remnant exposes around ten to twenty thousand years ago give or take. I Imaged this on the 17th August 2025 from my back garden. It’s only a short exposer time this time of around 3 hours. Made up from the Hydrogen channel and the Oxygen channel but mimics a kind of HSS palette.

Equipment used was my Skywatcher 200P, resign on the AM5 mount, ASI Air for acquisition and Altair 3nm SHO filters. Pixinsight for processing. The addition of a Starizona .75 reducer brings my focal length down to 750mm at f3.5.
